n 1973, the movie "The Exorcist" chronicled the tale of Regan, a teenage girl
who opened herself to demon possession through a Ouija board. Hollywood
special effects had a heyday in this film; in the most famous scene, Regan's
head spins around. Demon possession continues to be favorite fodder for horror
films, with increasingly graphic and nauseating portrayals. The New Testament
accepts demon possession as a reality that Jesus boldly attacked.
Then Jesus demanded, "What is your name?"
And he replied: "My name is Legion,
because there are many of us
inside this man."
