National Seminar
on Evangelism
Focuses On Total
Discipleship
"
W
e think of NSE
(National Seminar
on Evangelism) as
being a week-long intensive training
on how to do `evangelism'--and
there is an element of that--but
it is also a time for evangelists
to learn what it's like to become
disciples who are totally sold on
the idea of following Jesus and
obeying Him completely!"
That explanation from Commissioner
Kenneth Baillie, one of this year's
presenters, succinctly summarized
the mission of NSE since its inception
in 1968.
The venue was the Glen Eyrie
Conference Center, not far from
downtown Colorado Springs, CO.
The 150 delegates were divided into
15 groups, each bringing unique
perspectives while studying this year's
lesson material drawn from Just Walk
Across the Room by Bill Hybels.
Lt. Colonel David E. Kelly, National
Secretary for Program, urged the
delegates to "take in all that you
can. Engage in worship, discussions,
and fellowship. Open yourself to
God's voice."
