CONSIDERING CHRIST
I came upon the Christmas issue of War Cry.
The story that touched my heart and brought
back the reason Jesus came into my life
was "Something to Give" by Diane Stark.
Yes, He gave me love, hope and a new life.
Thanks for being there for my girls and me.

I was given a copy of the Christmas War Cry while waiting for
an appointment at the VA hospital in Seattle recently. I decided
to do the Christmas quiz in the back. Number 3 asks "How old
was Jesus when the wise men found Him?" Your answer: "Jesus
was at least a month old."
I believe He was older than one month old. He was born where
the livestock were kept, as you read in Luke. Matthew reports that
the wise men visited Him in His family's house and that He was a
child at the time.
Matthew goes on to report in verse 16 that Herod ordered all
the children under two years old killed. If as you say Jesus was a
month old when the wise men saw Him, why wouldn't Herod
have ordered all children under one year old to be killed?
Just letting you know what I found in the Bible.
Thank you for your attention.

Your Christmas 2014 issue was too beautiful to cut up!
Thanks so much. It's the prettiest and most meaningful
magazine I've ever had. I shall keep it!

A RESOURCE FOR SOLDIERS
Recently I completed the Soldiership classes and
joined The Salvation Army corps in Auburn,
CA. The War Cry is an excellent resource
which I only discovered about two months
ago. There are some issues available in the
vestibule of our church building. This month
I read with interest the "Great Promises of
the Bible" in the October 2014 issue of War
Cry.
Thank you for making these available.
