Salvation
Admit your need
"For all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God"
(Romans 3:23)
Believe in Christ
"Believe in the Lord Jesus,
and you will be saved"
(Acts 16:31)
Commit yourself to Christ
"Yet to all who received Him... He gave
the right to become children of God"
(John 1:12)
Being truly sorry for your sins, and through the
power of Christ forsaking them, go for ward to live
for Christ. He will give forgiveness, power, victory,
purpose, the Holy Spirit and life eternal.
by CAPTAIN LIGIA AMBRIZ
Mother and daughter relationships are
rich, complex and dynamic. They im-
pact our lives and influence how we re-
late to the world around us. Because of
this unique and special bond, the Cald-
well, Idaho Corps seeks ways to honor,
celebrate and unite mothers and daugh-
ters in a nurturing setting with a whole
lot of laughter!
This spring, we designed a brunch
event, asking everyone to wear spring
dresses and hats if they were able to.
On display were photographs of our
mothers and daughters at various times
in their lives. Daughters arrived early to
set up and decorate for their mothers.
What a gift of love in action! We
watched enthusiastically as each
woman bubbled with pride, posing
spring hats in the centers of the tables
surrounded by tea-decorations, posi-
tioning and repositioning the teapot
cutout-programs at each table setting.
As mothers joined daughters the
sound of beautiful worship music began
to rise, sung by sisters Samantha and
Amaya Ponce in thanksgiving for their
mothers. Then the wonderful brunch
prepared by Captain Aurelie was served.
Thoughts shared during a devo-
tional reinforced practical aspects of a
healthy relationship between mothers
and daughters. Testimonies were shared
and words of encouragement given to
those who might have had poor role
models and gone through negative ex-
periences. They now fervently sought a
new and better way to make a differ-
ence in their daughters' lives. Captain
Ligia offered a special prayer for healing
and restoration as well as a blessing for
the women to become the mothers and
daughters God created them to be. Mir-
acles occurred in the hearts of many
seated around the tables that day.
