I had been married for seven years and we had a beautiful five�year old daughter. My marriage was going though some very trying times. We weren't able to keep up with our bills and our daughter was hav- ing a hard time in kindergarten. Just before the New Year my hus- band and I decided to do whatever we could to save our marriage. with ADHD. Even our family dog died! Our lives were beginning to sound like a bad country song! days at my church but when life started to unravel I stepped down from my duties there, since the leaders seemed most concerned about the inconvience I was causing. I found myself questioning my faith. What did I do to make God so mad that he would allow all these hor- rible things to happen to me and my family all at once? Did I really want a God like that in my life? My life as a Christian seemed so much harder then it was before I believed! Army in Howell, only a few miles from home, I sent my resume out, did some research and found that much of what the Army believed coin- cided with my own beliefs. I missed being a part of a church and having a relationship with God. I knew He wanted more from me, but I was still angry and unwilling to listen to Him. Sunday and Captain Aaron was preaching a series on forgive- ness. How fitting. Faith was in school. I picked up my Bible and opened it to Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to pros- per you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." the Army and what it stood for. Before long my daughter and husband started attend- ing with me. God wanted more from me and had placed me here for a reason.
