Colonels David and Sharron Hudson
C
olonels David E. and
Sharron Hudson,
officers for 40 years,
have been appointed to
National Headquarters as
chief secretary and national
secretary for Women's
Ministries, respectively.
Colonel David is currently the
chief secretary for the
Western Territory. Colonel
Sharron is the territorial secretary for women's ministries for the
Western Territory, located in Long Beach, California.
Prior to moving to Long Beach, Colonels Hudson were the
divisional leaders for the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division,
which includes Hawaii, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the
Federated States of Micronesia, and Guam.
They have a wide range of experience as Salvation Army
officers, including positions as the territorial secretary for
personnel and territorial community care ministries secretary and
women's auxiliary secretary; territorial community relations and
development secretary and territorial older adult ministries and
volunteer director; divisional secretary and divisional women's
ministries secretary in San Diego, California; and divisional youth
and candidates' secretary and divisional sunbeam and guard
director in the Southwest Division.
The Hudsons were corps officers for 14 years, with
appointments in Oregon, Idaho and Southern California.
Colonel David has a degree in business management and a
master of science degree in leadership. Colonel Sharron has a
masters degree in Christian leadership.
Colonels David and Sharron have been married for 39 years
and have two daughters, Jennifer and Amy, as well as two
grandchildren.
His personal interests include reading, running, hiking and
keeping active. Her interests include singing, reading for personal
development and being a grandmother.
