WORDS TO LIVE BY
When you give to the poor, don't blow a
loud horn. That's what show-offs do in the
meeting places and on the street corners,
because they are always looking for praise...
When you give to the poor, don't let anyone
know about it.
Matthew 6:2-3
Imagine that you're in a psychiatrist's office
and she asks you to sit down on the couch. She
begins by asking the question, "How do you
feel?" Well...how do you feel about the issues
raised by this month's content?
Do you see value in the BOGO model of
charity (and it's many variations)? Do you
participate in this type of charitable activity?
What do you think your role is in providing
justice and fairness for those who need it?
George Clooney has taken it upon himself to
monitor the actions of a convicted war criminal.
Is this type of activity appropriate for citizens
to participate in toward people of another
country?
How active should we be in efforts of justice?
Is justice a matter for law enforcement or is it
something we can all participate in?
Let's continue the conversation...

Napkins are things we use and discard every day. Life can so easily
be discarded as well. "A Sketch in Time" takes the idea of a discarded
napkin and redeems it through the art drawn upon it. Take comfort
in knowing that God specializes in Redeeming the Discarded.
Trick or Treat
Culture can go
either way.
