ways need to be aware of the
battle that Satan and his crew
hand down to us. We must
focus on putting on the full
armor of God, so that we may

Thank you so very much for all
the issues of the War Cry. At 88
years of age I am now home-
bound due to heart trouble. I
am relying more and more on
Salvation Army news through
publications like the War Cry.
As a former student of Mr.
Beauty and Truth
I like the more streamlined
uptodate design! Congratu-
lations to your staff! The
Easter issue is beautiful.

I loved the Easter 2012 issue
of the War Cry. The stories
were amazing, and the art-
work was beautiful, especially
the painting called "The Res-
urrection." God bless you all.

The Living Light
I read the
War Cry magazine
for the first time today. Thank
you for publishing a maga-
zine that speaks to those
who need salvation. I was es-
pecially moved by the Living
Light
poem by Major Karen K.
Satterlee. The words took me
to the events of Easter and
had me ponder them from a
fresh perspective.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

the article writ-
ten by Vernon
Post, "A Lasting
Testament," in
the March 3rd
War Cry. As a
trombonist in
the New York
Staff Band in
1954, I was given the opportu-
nity of being the trombone
soloist on Mr. Leidzen's Con-
certino for the Band and Trom-
bone.
I rehearsed this piece
with him at his apartment in
New York and it was a work-
out!
