If ever our country needed prophets like Isaiah,
Jeremiah and Ezekiel, it is now. If ever there were a time
when Salvationists needed to embody the Word of God,
it is now. God wants to bring His Word to life in our lives,
in our gatherings and in our social service ministries.
God took a young man named Jeremiah and
made of him an iron pillar and a bronze gate.
He did the same for William Booth. He
can do the same for you and me.
Yes, their mission fields were hard. But as
they stayed on the difficult path with Jesus,
God gifted them with phenomenal abilities.
They spoke, wrote and administrated for
His glory and for the salvation of the world.
What a profound privilege and
blessing it is to minister in the tradition
of the prophets. But we are not
doing God a favor by offering
ourselves to Him. We
are to be humble
learners, because
the God who cre-
ated the whole
universe is giving
us the
privilege to
walk with
Him and with
His giants!
